Buysight Execs Speaking At Industry Events This Week

Palo Alto, CA–March 4, 2011–Buysight, a leader in online performance advertising, announced today that CEO and Founder Shaukat Shamim will take the stage at Digital Hollywood Spring in Marina Del Ray, CA and CMO Jeff Weitzman will lead a panel at Digiday: Target in New York City, each on Thursday, May 5. From 11:05 a.m.-12:20 p.m. PT, Shamim will discuss targeted advertising and analytics on the panel titled “Advertising Analytics and Contextual Media: Social Media and Virtual Economies, Mobile, Search, Video Search and HyperTargeting.” Weitzman will moderate a panel discussing online retail marketing titled "Targeting for Retail Marketing."
During his discussion, Shamim will join a panel of industry experts and influencers to tackle advertising accountability in a time when advertising technology is ever-changing and driving toward a real-time marketplace, transforming online display advertising and pulling more and more marketing dollars toward new outlets including social networks and mobile. In this session, the analytics of advertising in the emerging and more cutting edge platforms of social media, search and broadband video will be explored. Shamim will discuss how knowing consumer intent, the heart of his company's Buyer Targeting, translates into sales and metrics that hold advertising accountable for positive return on investment.
Weitzman's panel will focus on how online display advertising has, through the use of retargeting, behavioral targeting, and real-time media buying, become a viable channel for transaction-driven advertisers such as retailers. Retailers and comparison shopping sites are utilizing new services and technologies to reach buyers across the Web with highly targeted, performance driven ads, creating opportunities to reach in-market shoppers at all stages of the sales funnel. In this session, Weitzman and other industry experts will discuss how the data driven world is working for retail marketers, both online and off.
