Active Shopper Report – Consumer Electronics Edition Vol. 2
Consumer electronics are big this year, as indicated by our second installment of the Active Shopper Report. According to a number of sources, including Pricegrabber.com, consumer electronics dominate product searches on price comparison websites and are among the most popular gifts this holiday season. The following visual illustrates the popularity of consumer electronics, as well as the individual items shoppers are looking to buy (and receive) this year. The overall trend suggests that reduced prices is the common denominator. For shoppers looking to save, this is as good of a time as ever to buy.

Number 6 and number 14 are the same product – Nikon’s D90 camera.
So what would it’s actual rating be? I would have to assume pretty darn high, seeing as it listed at least twice in the top 20.
How many other products on this list have duplicate erroneous extra entries listed at 20+ that can’ t be seen?
This graphic is officially mis-information.
David, actually it’s not. # 6 is w/ the lens, while #14 is the camera body only. These are sold as two separate SKUs — many people that are photo enthusiasts purchase a number of camera bodies and use a number of lenses. Additionally, when the maker upgrades a make – photographers can choose to purchase the body only, as it is more cost effective. It wouldn’t make sense to continually purchase cameras with the stock 18-55mm lens included, if you already have one. This would be like saying that every time you buy a DVD player, you need to buy a new TV as well.
