Phu Hoang
Executive Chairman
Phu Hoang brings his experience in organizational strategy and execution to Buysight as its Executive Chairman. Phu spent 12 years at Yahoo!, where he was Executive Vice President, overseeing the development of all of Yahoo's consumer and advertising products worldwide. His major responsibilities were Search, Search Marketing, Ad Systems, commerce properties such as Shopping, Auctions, Classifieds, and Travel, media properties such as Sports, Finance, and News, communication and communities properties such as Mail, Messenger, and Groups, as well as Yahoo's Platform engineering and Bangalore engineering groups.
Prior to joining Buysight, Phu had been helping Kiva.org in its mission to alleviate global poverty through micro-lending to entrepreneurs in developing countries and led its Engineering and Product groups.
Previous to Yahoo, Phu worked in the Electronic Design Automation industry. He has a Ph.D. and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Math from University of Maryland, College Park.
